Marina Guseva, founder of LetoSoft, delves into the world of Generative AI, a vital tool for businesses. Despite widespread access to tech tools like Large Language Models (LLMs), success now depends on deep domain knowledge and understanding customer needs. While business processes are streamlined with AI, creative applications of Generative AI remain relatively scarce.

Marina Guseva, Founder @ LetoSoft:

Lately, I’ve been diving into the world of Generative AI, having some great chats and swapping ideas with smart folks in the field. It’s pretty obvious that this tech tool is becoming a must-have for businesses big and small.

So, here’s a thought: How can IT companies, like ours, grab a slice of this AI pie? Is there a way to get ahead of competitors using Generative AI?

Even with everyone having access to big tech tools, like Large Language Models (LLMs) and cloud platforms, the game is really changing from just “tech” to actual product creation, really knowing our stuff (domain knowledge), and getting what our customers need. It kind of feels like we’re going back to basics – choosing solid business smarts over just the newest, shiny tools. And honestly, that’s not a bad thing because it helps us keep our eyes on what’s truly important.

Although a lot of us are thinking that Generative AI will completely shake up how we do business and create software, we haven’t seen too many earth-shattering projects just yet. Mostly, businesses are running to use AI to make their routine processes easier, still sticking with their usual business models. This isn’t a bad approach, but don’t you wonder what more we could do?
